Department of Orchestral Instruments
Introduction
Department of orchestral instruments started in 1961 as an instrumental music major in the Department of Religious Music and has continued to develop, and now more than 200 students are enrolled.
In Department of orchestral instruments, most instruments used in orchestras are detailed majors. (e.g., violin and other string instruments, woodwinds, brass instruments, percussion instruments)
In addition to liberal arts and theory classes, current students are honing their individual skills by taking various performance classes such as Orchestra, String Chamber Orchestra, Wind Chamber Orchestra, and Chamber Ensemble from the best faculty members, and they are also experiencing various types of performance based on practical classes.
The Keimyung Symphony Orchestra, where both orchestra and students participate, is receiving the highest praise, impressing the audience with its amazing tone and harmony at every concert under the guidance of Professor Maestro Suh, Jin, .
In Department of orchestral instruments includes performances and research presentations, large and small, at each concert hall, including the Keimyung Art Center, which boasts state-of-the-art facilities and scale on a beautiful campus. Concerto Night, Opera, Gwanak Ensemble, String Ensemble, Department Research Presentation, We are doing our best to equip students with the qualities of professional musicians with an international perspective through numerous events in the department, including overseas invitational performances, exchange performances and special performances, overseas training programs, various seminars, and special lectures.
